Standing With the Afghan Families Who Stood With Us
Today, on Giving Tuesday, we are asking our community to stand with the Afghan families who stood with us. For more than four years, AfghanEvac has led the fight to bring our wartime allies to safety and protect them from the political winds that have too often put them at risk.
We have done all of this as an entirely volunteer organization, fueled only by individual donations. We have never had institutional support. Every dollar you’ve contributed has gone directly into helping families navigate impossible systems, countering misinformation, and defending the people who defended us.
As we look toward the new year, we must transition to a more sustainable model. To keep reducing uncertainty, increasing throughput, and pushing back on harmful narratives, we need to begin paying staff and building the infrastructure required to lead this work at scale. The mission hasn’t gotten smaller — it has grown, and so have the demands on our team.
Last week’s awful shooting is a painful reminder of why organizations like AfghanEvac are necessary. In the hours that followed, some voices rushed to blame Afghans and weaponize grief for political ends. We stepped in immediately to drive the national conversation back to facts, context, and humanity. That work is essential, and it requires resources to do well and do quickly.
Your support ensures we can stay focused on what matters:
Keeping Afghan families safe.
Countering falsehoods before they cause harm.
Guiding the national narrative toward truth and away from fear.
Ensuring the United States honors its commitments.
If you can, please make a Giving Tuesday contribution at afghanevac.org/donate.
And if you’re connected to a foundation or philanthropic partner looking to support high-impact, truth-driven humanitarian work, we are ready for that conversation. AfghanEvac has shown what’s possible with almost nothing. Imagine what we could do with real capacity behind us.
Thank you for standing with us — and with them.

We appreciat your effort .
